Datsun 280Z bolt kit
The 280Z is the last of the S30 Z cars. It shares most of its body and chassis hardware with the 240Z and 260Z, and that is what this kit covers: new JIS fasteners, bagged and labelled by section.
Use it for a full nut and bolt restoration, or to replace the rusted, rounded and mismatched hardware a 280Z picks up over the years.

What is in the 280Z bolt kit
The kit is sorted into the same sections you work through on the car. Most sections are also sold on their own as Small Bolt Kits.

Not yet complete: the transmission and its associated fasteners are not included. Interior coverage is limited to the fasteners beneath the dashboard; a small number of additional interior fasteners are supplied as complimentary extras. Certain key suspension bolts without a marked strength grade, mainly in the front suspension, are also not included.
What is shared and what is not
Body, suspension, steering and underbody hardware carry across the S30 range. The 280Z adds its own fuel injection hardware and different bumpers, and US market cars differ from the right-hand drive car the list was measured on. Those areas are the ones to check in the parts lookup.
Correct hardware
JIS small heads, 4 and 7 mark bolts where the factory used them, and factory finishes. More in JIS vs metric bolts.
Check the fit
The kit list was built from one measured car: a 1977 Datsun 260Z 2+2 (chassis GRS30), right-hand drive, delivered new in Australia. Other models, years and markets can differ in places, so check the parts lookup against your car. If something on your car does not match, tell me, and the list gets better for everyone.

Will the S30 kit fit a 280Z?
The S30 body and chassis hardware is largely shared, so much of the kit applies. The 280Z has its own fuel injection, bumpers and some market-specific parts, and the list was measured on a 260Z, so check the parts lookup for those areas.
Is the 280ZX the same car?
No. The 280ZX is the later S130 and needs its own kit. See the 280ZX page.
